Manchaca sits right where Austin’s southern suburbs start giving way to the Hill Country, close enough to the Balcones Escarpment that soil conditions can shift from one side of a property to the other. Oasis Septic provides septic tank pumping, real estate inspections, grease trap pumping and lift station service across the area, on both sides of the Travis and Hays county line.
Septic tank pumping and cleaning services to keep your system operational.
Septic system inspections for both aerobic and conventional systems.
Grease trap pumping for restaurants and food service.
Lift station service for commercial and residential properties.
Older acreage tracts here, some named for the natural springs the area is known for, often run conventional or aerobic systems depending on exactly where the lot sits relative to that geologic line, and it’s not unusual for us to find both types within the same neighborhood. Growth along FM 1626 has brought in more rooftops and more retail than Manchaca has historically had, and that shift shows up in our workload two ways. On the residential side, newer subdivisions are going up alongside long-established acreage properties near Slaughter Creek and Onion Creek, and each brings a different kind of septic system with it. On the commercial side, the retail and restaurant growth along the FM 1626 corridor has turned grease trap pumping into a bigger part of what we do here than it was even a few years ago.
Because Manchaca straddles the Travis and Hays county line, we get a fair number of calls from homeowners who aren’t entirely sure which jurisdiction’s rules apply to their property. We keep track of that so it’s one less thing for a homeowner to sort out when it’s time for a pump out or a pre-sale inspection.
Real estate turnover has picked up here as more buyers look for a property with some land but easy access to Austin, and a septic inspection is a standard part of nearly every one of those closings now. Between the older acreage character of the area and the newer development pushing in, Manchaca keeps a genuinely mixed septic landscape, and Oasis Septic is built to handle exactly that kind of variety.
