Grease Trap & Grease Interceptor Pumping

Oasis Septic keeps restaurants, food trucks, cafeterias and commercial kitchens throughout Austin and Central Texas pumped, documented and compliant.

What We Do

We pull up with a vacuum truck, pump your grease trap or interceptor completely, rinse it with water, and leave your kitchen ready for another service cycle. Every job includes a completed FOG manifest form documenting the date of service, gallons removed and disposal facility. We give you a copy to keep on file and handle the required documentation so you don’t have to think about it.

Our truck is equipped with a liquid gauge that measures the exact number of gallons removed on every job. You’ll know precisely what came out so there’s no guessing about whether the job was done right.

We work around your schedule including early morning appointments before you open so your kitchen operation is never disrupted.

EMERGENCY GREASE TRAP SERVICE

A grease trap backup doesn’t wait for a convenient time. If your kitchen drains are backing up, you’re seeing grease coming up through floor drains or your trap is overflowing, you need it handled fast. We offer emergency grease trap service throughout Austin and Central Texas for situations that can’t wait for a scheduled appointment.

Call us and we’ll tell you honestly how quickly we can get there. We understand that every hour your kitchen is down costs you money.

What Happens When a Grease Trap Is Neglected

A full grease trap doesn’t just smell bad. Grease and solids back up into your kitchen drains, slow your dishwasher lines and eventually cause a full backup into the kitchen floor. When that happens your kitchen is down until the problem is resolved and you’re already in violation.

A health inspector showing up to find an overdue or full grease trap means a citation at minimum and a potential shutdown until the issue is corrected. The fines and lost revenue from even a single day of downtime cost far more than a routine pump out.

Staying on a routine schedule is the simplest way to avoid all of it.

FOG Manifest Documentation

Every grease trap pump out in Austin requires a FOG manifest form completed by your licensed liquid waste hauler. The form documents what was removed, how many gallons, where it was disposed and the hauler’s City of Austin permit number. You are required to keep the manifest on site for three years and must be able to produce it if a health inspector or Austin Water compliance officer asks for it.

We handle the manifest paperwork on every job and give you a copy before we leave. You don’t need to chase down documentation or worry about whether your records are complete.

Who We Serve

We service grease traps and interceptors for restaurants, bars, cafeterias, hotel kitchens, school cafeterias, grocery store delis and any other food service establishment in the Austin and Central Texas area. Whether you have a small indoor trap under the sink or a large in-ground interceptor outside we have the equipment to handle it.

We also offer scheduled service agreements for businesses that want to set it and forget it. You tell us your trap size and service frequency and we handle the rest on a regular schedule so you’re never thinking about it until you get our reminder.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often does my grease trap need to be pumped in Austin?

Under Austin City Code Chapter 15-10 grease traps must be pumped at least once every 90 days. Service is required sooner if grease and solids reach 50% of the wetted height of the trap. Each missed service is a separate code violation with potential fines and permit revocations.

Do you handle the FOG manifest paperwork?

Yes. We complete the required FOG manifest form on every job and give you a copy before we leave. Your records will be ready if Austin Water or a health inspector ever asks for them.

What is the difference between a grease trap and a grease interceptor?

The terms are used interchangeably under Austin City Code and the same maintenance requirements apply to both. In practice indoor under-sink units are typically called grease traps and are smaller while large in-ground units are typically called grease interceptors and handle higher volume. We service both.

Can you service my grease trap before we open?

Yes. We offer early morning and late night appointments so your kitchen isn’t disrupted during service hours. Let us know your schedule when you call and we’ll work around it.

Do you offer scheduled service contracts?

Yes. We offer recurring service agreements so you never have to think about scheduling. We’ll keep you on a compliant pump out cycle and remind you when your next service is coming up.
